Growing Confident & Gracious Communicators

National-Level Organization & A Local Club

NCFCA Christian Speech and Debate is a national organization designed to offer competitive, first-class speech and debate opportunities for Christian students aged 12-18 years old.

Salt & Light is a local club preparing students to compete at NCFCA-sponsored speech and debate competitions throughout the region and nation.

Regional Structure

Regional Qualifiers, National Mixers, and National Open tournaments all award students points towards qualifications for the annual National Tournament.

NCFCA's History

The National Christian Forensics and Communication Association began in 1997 as the HSLDA Debate League with the goal of training up Christian homeschool students to learn the skills necessary to reach their world with God’s truth. In the following decades, NCFCA has grown and developed with regard to systems and programs, but the core focus of our mission has not shifted. Ultimately, we are about making a real difference in the real world, teaching students to “address life issues from a biblical worldview in a manner that glorifies God” (taken from NCFCA.org).

NCFCA's Mission Statement

To challenge and equip ambassadors for Christ to communicate truth with integrity and grace.

For more than twenty years, NCFCA has promoted excellence in communications through competitive opportunities where Christian students develop the skills necessary to think critically and communicate effectively in order to address life issues from a biblical worldview in a manner that glorifies God (taken from NCFCA.org).
